The Hauraki Rail Trail Sherpa Shuttle offers a full range of support with shuttle transfers along the trail.
We provide the following services regardless of what you have booked or haven’t booked with us.
- Transfer you along the trail
- Move your bike to your next destination
- Return you back to your car
- Move your luggage to your next accommodation

Please Note: Reservations are essential as the Sherpa Bus only runs if there are bookings.
The Sherpa Shuttle Bus currently operates on demand and group bookings by prior arrangement.
Departure Point & Price
Shuttle is an on-demand service. When enquiring please indicate your preferred time.
Departure or Pick Up from: The Waihi Train Station, The Waikino Railway Station, The Te Aroha Train Station, Danby Field Carpark Thames and Paeroa depot (6 Wharf Street, Paeroa)
Prices
- Minimum charge of $95.00 applies for 1 - 2 persons for 1 stage.
- Minimum charge of $150.00 applies for 1-2 persons for 2 stages (excluding Miranda/Kaiaua).
- Minimum charge of $180.00 applies for 1-2 persons for 2 stages Miranda/Kaiaua.
For 3 or more people:
- One stage - $35 per person + $10.00 per bike
- Two stages - $60 per person + $10.00 per bike

It is great riding without heavy panniers; we can move your luggage to accommodation along the trail.
